Communicating the relationship of an adult to their inner child, this tender short film is about a child who leaves her stuffed animal behind and the lengths a woman will travel to get it back to her, while navigating through depths of her own.

In the small town of Cheeks, Texas, Caroline must honor her Grandma's dying wish by unraveling the dangerous mystery of CO2 in the local oil wells, all while navigating a murky past in the swamp lands and uniting the town's divided residents; a powerful dramedy where progression clashes with tradition and love grapples with responsibility.

On a serene beach, Will discovers a perfect seashell with his metal detector, only to find it mysteriously growing heavier in his backpack, leading him on a magical journey that challenges his courage and forces him to confront the necessity of letting go. About
Driven by visual stories of magical realism, Natalie McElvy is a storyteller with soulful vision. Born in Texas, raised in California, she made her way to Los Angeles to study Theater Arts and Film Studies at Loyola Marymount University, where she earned her BA in 2017.
In 2022, she was presented with the Storyteller Foundation’s Inaugural Rainbow Fund Scholarship, for a Screen Writer’s fellowship under the mentorship of legacy driven Film/TV professionals. She is a current recipient 2024 of the Rocaberti Writer’s Scholarship where she is placed in an international intensive to guide her current Screenplays to their highest potential by an ensemble of highly acclaimed industry mentors. She is currently underway in the production of directing two self written short films. Her main intention is to guide epic cinematic stories to the intimate magic that inately resides within them.
